I like things. These are the things I like.

the-unpopular-opinions:

It’s their own fault that they
Took courses in college that didn’t translate into marketable skills and knowledge in the workforce.
Got beaten, sprayed, gassed and arrested by police officers.
Lack proper leadership, goals, and discipline.
Lack the resources, connections, expertise and gravitas to enact any real social change.
Allow the use of tactics that do more harm than good to their cause (ie: Black Bloc, disrupting seaports and public transportation).
Appear disingenuous and hypocritical (ie: their canteen serving expensive organic food to protesters, yet turning away homeless people; the use of iPads and other corporate-branded goods on their person; transacting funds through a national bank).
Overall haven’t taken responsibility for their own individual situations, instead participating in a movement that’s accomplishing about as much as a child’s temper tantrum in a grocery store.
Anon Please.

  6. hopes-built-from-desperation said: Yes, some of the protesters are hypocritical and lazy and have themselves to blame. But many of them aren’t. I know a pastor that went to Wall Street to protest. Doing absolutely nothing wrong, and still got beaten and arrested. Is he to blame? No.

  8. swordsncarrots said: I am neutral towards the movement itself, but I am pretty sure that it is unconstitutional to beat and injure others for nonviolent protest.
